About Me
Tiffany Canning M.A.C.P, RCC, CCC

I am registered clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, holding a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.  As a licensed Mental Health Counselor my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and understanding environment for individuals to share freely and honestly on a deeper level. To build relationships based on trust and hope so that clients can confront their problems; it is in this space that I believe each person's inner self and strength can be accessed for healing, freedom, peace, and growth.

Over the past decade, I have worked in the non-profit sector and crisis response with children, youth, adults, couples, and families from coast to coast (Newfoundland to British Columbia) who have a variety of mental health and relationship concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, anger, panic, ADHD, OCD, ODD, eating disorders, traumas, childhood traumas, PTSD, dissociation, parent-child/family/marital/couples conflict, parenting, tantrums, child behaviours. I approach life with a sincere, loving, and welcoming attitude, knowing that life may be complicated and that a good conversation can make a significant difference.

Counseling is a big commitment, and having a counsellor you can trust is critical for positive outcomes. As a result, I provide a free 15-minute consultation so you can determine whether my services and style are a good fit for you.

Counselling Values

At Your Pace

I begin by being aware of the possibility that trauma, violence, or other distressing experiences may be a factor in our pain and coping mechanisms.

To help you process the past so you can live more completely in the present, we may use Somatic and Parts Work therapies.

Meaningful Connection

The core of my approach is building a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.

To better meet your specific needs and situation, we may incorporate Mindfulness-based,  Behavioral, and Family Systems approaches.

Holistic & Love

As you navigate difficulties in your personal relationships, I'll help you re-establish a connection with the knowledge of your whole self in a manner that shows love. Love at Ajuinnata Counselling means respect, support, commitment, hope, attention, empathy, inclusion, and action.
